John McVeigh
John was born in Birstall, West Yorkshire and moved to Marske by the Sea in 1991. He embarked on his career in the Financial Services sector in 1982, with the Co-Operative Insurance Society (CIS Limited). He then moved to Standard Life Assurance Company in 1998 to develop his experience and knowledge. John is currently studying for his Chartered Status.
In 2001, he established Bede Financial Services, later to become the Bede Financial Group Limited. John is a passionate supporter of most spectator sports, and enjoys walking and outdoor pursuits. The Batley Bulldogs Rugby League club are his biggest passion. Also a lifelong Leeds United supporter, although in recent years, he has taken a keen interest in The Marske United Football Club, his local amateur football team who play in the Northern Premier League, North West Division. Local and County Cricket also takes up some of his spare time. When time allows he can be seen watching his local cricket club, Marske, who play in the North Yorkshire South Durham E.C.B.Premier League, or watching his beloved White Rose of Yorkshire play. He is a member of Saltburn 41 Club, and a past chairman of the Saltburn and Redcar Round Table. |
